Edge presence is generally available
Presence now runs in all 180 regions, so online status updates reach every client in under 50ms.
Presence has graduated from beta. Online, away and typing states now sync from the edge region closest to each user.
What changed
We moved presence state into our regional replicas, cutting p95 fan-out latency from 180ms to 42ms.
How to use it
Call channel.presence.enter() from any SDK. Existing beta apps are upgraded automatically.
